We deliver timetabled bus services in southern Tasmania to connect people to their community.
Our service does not compete with or duplicate existing public transport services.

Area Connect free bus service
To deliver major cost of living relief, the Tasmanian Government announced free bus services across Tasmania from 30 March to 1 July 2026. The initiative aims to help ease pressure on household budgets, particularly as the fuel prices continue to rise.
Bookings are required to travel with Area Connect Routed Services and customers are encouraged to allow extra travel time, particularly during peak periods.

For passenger safety, a limit of two shopping bags or items per passenger per trip will apply. Items must fit safely on your lap and/or be stowed under the seat in front of you (where possible).
