Casual Drivers – across Tasmania

The successful candidates will have: 

  • passenger transportation experience 
  • strong customer service and interpersonal skills
  • competence in the use of hand-held electronic devices and information technology
  • a current Public Passenger Vehicle Ancillary Certificate, Light Rigid Driver’s Licence, satisfactory National Police Check and Working with Vulnerable People Certificate

Drivers are required in a range of locations across the State to transport community passengers driving light passenger vehicles including buses, vans and sedans.  Light to moderate manual handling may also be involved.  Successful applicants will start immediately.

In light of current Government recommendations, applicants over the age of 70 or Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islanders over the age of 50, should be aware that these positions involve face to face interactions with consumers.  Such interactions are not recommended for people in the above-mentioned age groups.  Appointment will also be subject to any other future recommendations from Government which affect these positions.

The position is classified at Level 3 of the Passenger Vehicle Transport Award 2010 with an hourly rate of $28.46 per hour.
